"I had to share this with everyone because I'm so amazed it works. For what it's worth, I'm not a salesman, just a desperate parent! I had to go back to work this week, and last night I just started crying because the situation was untenable for all of us. This morning, I downloaded the SoundSmart mp3, put it on right by her crib and put her down. Of course, she started crying — really loud. But I waited in the other room, determined to give it at least the five minutes. At minute four, it was totally quiet. Of course, I rushed in to make sure she was still breathing. She was! Fast asleep! This is a baby who would NEVER sleep without being swaddled and binkied, and who is a determined crier!"
—Jan S., Baby Center.com Forums

"I loved it. I play it in the morning as the children are arriving - It brings a calm over the center and makes it a relaxing atmosphere."

—Jana F., QualityCare for Kids, Novato, CA

"To be honest, I've never heard anything like it - we just don't want to turn it off! It literally calms the whole family down, and actually brings us together in a really nice way. You outta market this as medicine and therapy! The baby is happier, and we're ALL happier."
—Tracey N., Brooklyn, NY

"My grandson, who is now 10 months old, has been using the BabySleep System CD since his first day of life. He slept through the night at 12 days of age from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. The CD plays continously through the night and while he naps. If for some reason the CD does not get turned on, his sleep is not as sound or as long. Awesome product!!"
—Karen F., Boise, ID

"To tell you the truth I was doubtful but pleased to find it was great for the children to relax. It's wonderful for the children. Thank you."
—Jan T., California Young World, Sunnyvale, CA

"We were given this CD and were thrilled when it worked. Our 13 month old was having sleep problems and we were dealing with 4 or 5 night waking's every night. She is now sleeping through the night and when she does wake up it takes seconds to soothe her."
—Michele H., Portland, OR

"Having a newborn with Reflux is a challenge. Your CD definitely helps in getting my little monster to sleep. Once down he is in heaven. Thanks for a great product."
—Mark S., Los Angeles, CA

"Not only does our 2-month-old sleep longer, but WE sleep better and the whole family is happier"
—Tamara Z., Lucerne, Switzerland

Separation Anxiety is the natural occurance in the transition between prenatal and neonatal life.

Most infants cry because they are frightened of the chaotic new world. They simply want to reconnect with the safest place they know - The Womb. As they grow, babies begin to adjust to the new world but there are still moments where they need to reconnect for safety and assurance. Separation anxiety can occur when they are not able to feel mother's presence at the times they need to.

If you start your newborn on the SoundSleep Audio CD right away, your baby will experience a smoother transition from his prental to neonatal world by enjoying the "mother's presence" even if mother is not in the same room. This can help diminish separation anxiety because your infant doesn't have to endure the 'shock' of feeling completely alone. Soon you can begin to gradually expose your baby to periods of "alone time", and the transition can be smooth and not so dramatic. With this approach, you can avoid the potential trauma and panic your baby might experience by suddenly waking up and finding that s/he is completely alone and helpless.

Babies realize that there's only one of you, and when he or she can't see you, that means you've gone away. However, at this point, your child doesn't yet understand the concept of time and doesn't know if or when you'll come back. So whether you're in the kitchen, in the next bedroom, or at the office, it's all the same to your toddler. You've disappeared.

By about 7 months, babies realize that there’s only one Mommy and/or Daddy, but they don’t have a sense of time, so even if parents step into the next room for a minute, all the baby knows is that they’re gone — maybe forever! — and they’re going to cry or cling or do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. This phase is often called “stranger anxiety,” because even the happiest child becomes shy or fearful around everyone but the primary caregiver, and generally peaks before 18 months

“The gentle rhythms of SoundSleep entrain the body's breathing, brainwaves and heartbeat into a state of peaceful remembrance.

I have shared the SoundSleep CD with several NICU nurses who report the babies, parents and nurses all love the CD. They encourage people to use it in the hospital and at home.”
